Lettering Policy for PCHS Trap Team Participants
Pine City High School policy states that the student will receive his or her first letter from the district. Subsequent letters, chevrons, and patches are the responsibility of the student. In addition, there will be no PCHS fee for lettering.
- Participant must be a student of Pine City High School. Home schooled participants in this school district are also eligible.
- Participants must meet MSHSL eligibility requirements.
- Participants must abide by Pine City Public Schools activity requirements, and in addition must adhere to all school district rules, policies, and procedures concerning student activities including, but not limited to, attendance, conduct, and academic eligibility.
- Participants must abide by Minnesota State High School Clay target League activity requirements.
- Participants must shoot varsity level, which is a 19 or higher average by the end of the season with no more than one unexcused absence for the season. Average is determined using the scores from Reserve Week and the five weeks of competitive shooting. Or, a participant who has 3 or more consecutive years as a member of the team with no more than one unexcused absence in a season may earn a letter. An unexcused absence is defined as failure to notify the Head Coach or designated assistant of your absence due to illness or family/personal issues. Leaving the trap field early can also be considered an unexcused absence.
- At the discretion of the head coach(es), a student may or may not letter due to special circumstances.
